(May 24, 2012) - With winter days behind us and sunny spring afternoons ahead, recreation in McCall, Idaho takes on a new life each and every time we see a season change. Whitewater Rafting: Newly melted snow means flowing rivers and raging rapids are now available for the thrill seeker in all of us. Grab your friends and hop take a trek down Payette River with one of the many expert guides in the area.
Hiking and Biking: Ditch your snowshoes for hiking boots and hit the trails. Our community offers direct access to hundreds of miles of groomed trails winding throughout the gorgeous Salmon River Mountains.
Community Events: Great weather means McCall and the Treasure Valley area a buzz with festivals, events and happenings nearly every day. Be sure to check out the McCall Farmer’s Market in June where you can get fresh, local produce like huckleberries and morel mushrooms, both known as renowned culinary treasures of our region.
Golf: The recreation of choice of everyone around here, the Whitetail golf course officially opens on May 27. Members and guests of the nearby Shore Lodge can enjoy playing in the picturesque setting of our 7,200 yard Andy North designed course through mid-October.
