Sunset, SC (Jan. 12, 2012) – The Reserve at Lake Keowee Community Foundation, in accordance with its mission, would like to invite visual, cultural, and performing artists to apply for the 2012 Artist in Residence position and/or the foundation’s annual Artist/Lecture series.

These programs look for talented artists, from a variety of creative backgrounds, to be showcased throughout the year. The purpose of these programs is to provide the vibrant Reserve community, as well as the upstate, with cultural enrichment.

The Artist in Residence program offers artists the opportunity to interact with the upstate community, while displaying their craft. The residency would last up to a week, and provides for the artist’s stay during that time. If you would like to apply for the residency, or would like more information, the application can be found by clicking here. The submission deadline has been extended to January 31, 2012.

Throughout the year, The Reserve at Lake Keowee’s Community Foundation also hosts an Artist/Lecture Series. This series aims to showcase a variety of cultural art forms. For more information or to recommend an artist, please visit the RLK Community Foundation page on our website and click on the recommendation form on the right side of the page. Self-recommendations are also welcomed.
