November 17, 2011—The Lakewood Ranch 2011 Tour of Homes draws to a close this weekend with a full schedule of events. All 41 model homes will still be open to tour from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from Noon – 5 p.m. on Sunday, with maps and tour guides available at the Lakewood Ranch Information Centers. Since the start of the popular annual event and through November 10, more than 2500 visitors have come through the Lakewood Ranch Information Centers and models.
On November 18 from 5 – 8 p.m., Katy Rose Oilery is hosting a holiday wine tasting, with samples of Thanksgiving wines available plus hors d’oeuvres and oil and vinegar samples. There will be case and half-case discounts on wines.
From November 18-20, come see the fabulous Christmas decorations at the Neal Communities models in BelleIsle at Country Club East. Coastal and traditional Christmas decorations by Lux-Art Silks and Charlene Neal PureStyle will be featured during regular model hours all weekend.
On November 19, the farmer’s market takes place on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch from 9 a.m. - noon. That evening, the third annual Scottish Festival, hosted by MacAllisters restaurant, will start at 6 p.m. on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch. The event benefits the Wobbly Feet Foundation and will be a fun-filled family night, celebrating all things Scottish. Work on your golf game with the golf swing experts, brush up your bagpipe playing with bagpipe lessons, trace your family heritage at one of our Scottish booths or sample native beers and scotch. There will also be activities for kids and beer and wine sales for the adults with great food on sale from the restaurants on Main Street.
On November 20, the Viking Culinary Center will host its grand opening celebration with tours, raffles and food samples from 6 – 8 p.m.
Tour of Homes officially ends on Sunday, November 20, 2011, but models will remain open during regular hours after the event concludes.
