Named the 2016 Community of the Year, this award-winning waterfront destination is located on the shores of the historic Potomac River, where it captures the pride of the American way of life and the charm of the Tidewater tradition, with its walkable neighborhoods and emphasis on coastal outdoor living. Just 30 miles from Washington DC, Potomac Shores offers easy access to city life while allowing residents to enjoy the beauty of Virginia’s rolling countryside.

Overlooking the Potomac River, the public-access 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course is set in the midst of mature hardwood forests, inviting players of all skill levels to enjoy a par-72 layout. After a game of golf, players can relax in the 8,000-square-foot Clubhouse, which features a spacious living room, pro shop, full-service restaurant, plus outdoor patios and fire pit.

An array of resort-style amenities create a destination for a lifetime, including an expansive rec and social center for Potomac Shores members only, a nature trail system, a Canoe Club, a brand-new public elementary school and a future town center, middle school and on-site VRE train stop.
