With 25 miles of shoreline along 1,200 total miles of unspoiled shoreline offered by Lake Thurmond, easy access to an over-abundance of outdoor recreation sports, and the peace of mind that comes with property ownership within an established member-owned community, Savannah Lakes Village is the ideal lakefront destination for over 2,000 primary home and vacation home owners.

The 4,000 acre community borders the pristine 70,000 acre Lake Thurmond, 63,368 acres of preserved state park and national forest land, and the Little River Blueway Outdoor Adventure Area. These natural features of the land, along with hundreds of miles of hiking/biking trails, kayaking trails, forestry service roads, and even a rails-to-trails project, place Savannah Lakes Village in the heart of an outdoor recreation and conservation wonderland.

Once inside the community however, the Village is bustling with activity. Savannah Lakes provides a vibrant lakefront lifestyle with an exciting mix of recreational and social events for both residents and visiting friends and family. The community also features two 18-hole lakefront golf clubs, clubhouses, and a recreation/cultural center featuring tennis and indoor/outdoor pools.

"The best community ever!"

I have owned property in SLV for the past five years. We visit atleast once a year and will build our new home this coming fall 2013. I cannot wait! The community is beautiful, but the people are what make SLV appealing. We will start a new chapter of life when we move to SLV, and we could not be happier and more excited!

"Super people, wonderful area, plenty to do if you want!"

After looking at property all over the U.S. for several years, we ended up buying our first lot in Savannah Lakes Village in 1990. Subsequently we sold that, bought another, sold that, and finally found the one that best fit our changing needs and home design. After retiring in 2000 we moved into SLV, built our home and have never regretted our d ...

"Where Else Would You Want To Be?"

What a wonderful place to live. We love being able to see the stars at night without light polution, meet friends on the water or at one of the clubhouses, hike, play golf or take advantage of the many other outdoor activities available. The best part of living in Savannah Lakes however is our people. You can't beat having friends.

"Probably the easiest place in the USA to get involved and meet people"

One of the hardest parts of relocationg is getting to know people and get involved. This community welcomes new residents with open arms. It won't take years to get comfortable. There are plenty of opportunities for volunteerism, education, play and we have the greatest faith communities. Come join us.

"Retirement Heaven"

From the moment we moved here we knew we had found "home" again. The day we moved in one of our neighbors saw my husband and son struggling with a huge workbench. He stopped his truck and helped. It has been like that ever since. Despite some differences, as there always are, living here is as close to being surrounded by family as it gets. The ...
