Interior Design Elements
Fireplace Surround - Great Room - The fireplace surround begins with the beautiful exterior stone flowing from the hearth up to the rich, wood mantle. The overall look gives the feeling of a cozy retreat.
Fireplace Surround - Master Bedroom - This fireplace surround replicates the look of antique limestone with a faux-finish, and a granite or marble trim makes it complete.
Granite Countertops - Thick, deep-curved moldings edge the countertop slabs in the kitchen and master bath.
Architectural Millwork & Interior Trim - The doors and windows of the Chalets will appear as having been set into true plastered walls. Here, a thin edge reveals a frame that surrounds and holds the door in place. The plaster wall turns gently into this frame as a bullnose edge completes this detail.
A simple base with clean lines will finish off the walls in this home. This baseboard will be 7 1/4 inches tall and will be painted to contrast slightly with the wall color.
Beautiful crown moldings in specified room locations - this molding will have a simple, cove design which is painted with light hues to accent the room
Window sills in this home will have a Craftsmen style look and a painted finish to follow along with the overall style of the home.
Cabinets - Throughout the home, built-in, semi-customized cabinetry will feature shaker styling in a beautiful maple wood. The laundry room will have built-in cabinetry in a white Decoform finish for functionality.
Door Hardware - As a beautiful way to finish off the doors in this home, they will have old world style levers mounted over a raised backplate escutcheon in a pewter finish.
Interior Doors Style - The interior doors of this residence will have two vertical panels with a square top, which forms these eight foot high solid-core knotty alder doors. The interesting grains of this natural wood construction will be finished with medium-tone stain and satin sheen sealer.
Interior Walls - Surround yourself with Old World hand-textured walls in a two-tone paint with beautifully stained doors.
Wood Flooring - The main flooring material in this residence is a 5 inch wide plank Hickory Wood. This flooring features a distressed look which completes the rustic style of this home. These 5 inch wide boards will cover main living areas of the home including the great room, kitchen, entry and hallways.
Plumbing - This home features a beautiful Kohler plumbing package that is functional and stylish. The finishes in this package are upgraded Brushed Nickel to complement the style of the home.
Appliances - This home offers an appliance package with stainless steel finish that are considered to be upper-end in the industry, ie Sub-Zero, Thermador and Bosch.

Landscaping - In order for The Chalets at Montrêux to maintain a consistent landscape theme, Artistic Gardens will provide custom-designed landscaping for your yard, which will add to the value of your home.
Chimneys - This becomes an accent to the exterior of the home by having a stone band at the bottom with a cor-ten chimney cap at the top. This blends nicely with the body of the home.
Roofing - Here the concrete tiles are called Split Timber with a rustic cut to go with the style of the home. The roof colors will vary from site to site and will have a tone on tone variation. Also included in the roofing element of the home is a rustic, cor-ten roof which covers the entry. This gives interest to the roof and adds dimension to the overall appearance of the home.
Rain Gutters - Drainage of rain water is led away from doorways with custom copper gutters. The copper will age over time.
Windows - These are metal clad, wood, casement style windows with wide, horizontal mullions and large windowpanes. Finish color varies from house to house.
Front Door - There are three door selections to choose from in a craftsmen style that will be stained to complement the house. This single wooden door is of the highest quality with a thickness of 3 inches and a measurement of up to 4ft wide by 8ft tall.
Exterior Walls - The visual look of the stone wainscot is of random rubble (different sizes and shapes of stones), orchestrated into an old world appearance. Above the stone wainscot is a combination of horizontal and vertical cedar siding. The stain colors for the siding will blend nicely with the stone for a rustic feel to the home.
Construction - Arxx walls provide exceptional insulation. This means significant ongoing savings and increased personal comfort levels. The Arxx wall system out performs other construction methods with its structural integrity, energy efficiency, sound reduction, and wind and fire resistance. In addition to providing thermal performance values equivalent to, or better than, R-50 wood-frame construction, the ceiling insulation is also upgraded to R-49 versus the standard R-30.
